Marion Le Solliec is a french harpist from Brittany who discovered and fell in love with the harp when she was 7.
She started to play at a conservatory music school in Paris with the harpist Véronique Ghesquière. 2 years later, she moved to Brittany where she took harp lesson in a music association with Morgane Touzet and Hoëla Barbedette. In these years, she has developed her musical ear with oral transmission.
She loved to play celtic and classical music, but she wanted to play other king of music that was not used to hearing on the harp like rock or metal. In 2008, she uploaded her first harp adaptation on her Youtube Channel to make people discover this beautiful instrument and especially to show that the harp was not only an "classical", "boring", "obsolete" and "accompaniment" instrument.
Over the years, her videos have been watched by a wide variety of audiences, some of them have only heard harp music as a musical accompaniment.
Marion commence la harpe au conservatoire en région parisienne à l’âge de 7 ans, auprès de Véronique Ghesquière. Quelques années plus tard, elle rejoint la Bretagne. C’est dans le milieu associatif qu’elle continue son apprentissage de l’instrument aux côtés de Morgane Touzet et Hoëla Barbedette. Elle développe alors très vite son oreille musicale grâce à la transmission orale.
Après avoir enrichi son répertoire classique et celtique, Marion commence à s’intéresser à d’autres répertoires peu entendus à la harpe tel que le rock ou le metal. En 2008, elle poste sa première adaptation sur sa chaine Youtube afin de partager sa passion, faire découvrir la harpe et essayer de casser son image d’instrument classique ou d’accompagnement.
Au fil des années, ses vidéos ont touchées un public très varié dont certaines personnes qui n’avaient jamais entendu la harpe hors fond d’accompagnement.
Ses adaptations ont été visionnées plusieurs millions de fois sur différents média-sociaux à travers le monde : le Canon de Pachelbel en Chine, le thème du seigneur des anneaux sur une chaîne persane, ou encore ses adaptations de Metallica et Titanic sur sa chaine Youtube.
Depuis 10 ans, Marion joue sur harpe électrique, ce qui lui permet notamment de marier la harpe à d’autres instruments et d’agrandir son répertoire pop/rock/metal.
Her adaptations represented a total of million views on different social networks across the globe : Pachelbel’s Canon in China, The Lord of the rings on a Persan website and her Metallica or Titanic adaptation on her Youtube channel.
For 10 years, Marion has played on an electric harp, which allows her to marry the harp to other instruments and extend her pop / rock / metal repertoire.
